For the fourth time, Galician gastronomy falls in love with New Yorkers at the Galician Cinema and Food Festival, an edition inspired mainly by the flavours and experiences of the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago.
During the last week of June at the Cervantes Institute in Manhattan, different culinary proposals were praised: Galician turbot empanada, tuna belly, octopus brochettes, mussels with Lourenzá beans, Santiago cake?
Chef Lucía Freitas, Michelin star 2019, was the coordinator of Showcooking. As ambassador brand of this tasting, was our range of preserves Cabo de Peñas representing and promoting the consumption of Galician products.
Both the canning technique and the quality of the products were especially applauded by the attendees.
In addition, they were delighted with an exhibition of film and audiovisual highlights, photographic exhibitions and a typical Galician bagpipe musician (“gaiteiro”), an event in the purest Galician style.
